Principal Investigator

Johannes Langemeyer

I am a geographer by training, holding a dual doctorate in Sustainability Science and Environmental Science. Experiences at leading institutions such as Humboldt University of Berlin, the Stockholm Resilience Centre, and the Autonomous University of Barcelona have shaped my research career. My work focuses on the intersection of social-ecological and digital systems, bridging theoretical understandings of nature’s values with practical applications in spatial planning—both in urban landscapes and beyond.
